And you will ask: Why a single entry for these three locations?
My answer: Because they are on the same way and they are situated near each other; roughly two hours (via tricycle) away north of Burgos, Ilocos Norte. And there is no more about each to talk about.
Patapat Viaduct is a famous bridge not only in Ilocos Norte but in the entire country. It is the 4th longest bridge in the Philippines elevated 31 meters over sea level. Patapat viaduct is 1.3 km concrete coastal bridge that connects the Maharlika Highway from Laoag, Ilocos Norte to the Cagayan Valley Region. The body of water beside it is known as Pasaleng Bay. The bridge was constructed in order to solve the problem of landslides in the area which have caused a lot of vehicular accidents in the past.

At the edge of the viaduct is a delta river and a resort famous for a name Aqua Grande. Aqua Grande Picnik Park is the place where the water from the mountain converges with the sea; thus, it is often called the place where the river meets the sea. The entrance fee to the resort is Php20.00 and I can say that the place is beautiful; perfect for picnics as it offers magnificent view of the sea. It can also be a very ideal place to stay and take a dip as it has several of natural several ponds; however, the water looks either murky or greenish. I do not think the owner of the resort is aware of its magnificent beauty since it is not being taken care of properly.

Ten minutes tricycle ride from Aqua Grande is what locals called Paraiso ni Anton (Paradise of Anton). Do not be deceived by its name as this paradise they call is just a mini waterfalls which is said to gush out miraculous water. Nothing is really spectacular about the place. In fact if you do not have enough time, I would suggest without batting an eyelash that you skip this place. It was the farthest but was the most boring of all tourist spots.
|nothing to do here :D|
